Carson's 2!

This weekend was a very busy weekend in our house. The babies had 9 month pictures on Saturday as well as a party for their friend Carson. He turned 2. The 9 month pictures will be ready for us to preview this week. We'll be sure to send out or publish the link! We are using a new photographer so all of our family in far away places can look at all of the pictures and order if they like.
We snapped a couple shots on Saturday at the party, too, that I am posting here. You can see Nathaniel and Jack posing with our friend Bart and his little boy, Chase (Jack's bud). There is also a pciture of Bella playing with the big sis to Chase, Maia.
We have our 9 month well baby check on Friday so stay tuned for stats from that as well. Coming up in the next few weeks Nathaniel will be building a deck on our house, we will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary we will be celebrating the babies baptism as well as my 30th birthday. It is going to be a very busy July!

Happy Dad's Day!

Yesterday we celebrated Nathaniel's first Dad's day by doing exactly what he wanted to do, all day. He slept in, we went for a nice walk at the park, he got to play Guitar Hero and he got a meal of meatloaf and french fries which he had requested. We even had smores brownies from scratch! And, let's not forget the afternoon nap that we all took. Overall, it was a fabulous day which I hope he enjoyed. Jack, Bella and Barney all gave Nathaniel an iPod dock for the new deck we are building. I haven't quite figured out how they got it yet. I think Jack drove them all to Best Buy. I am attaching pictures from the weekend. Before anyone says anything....yes, we dress our children! The pictures are between bath time and bedtime so we had them in their diapers temporarily. THey love it. As you can tell, they aren't camera shy at all. They are hams!!!

I would also like everyone to know what a fabulous daddy Nathaniel is to the babies. He is involved in every thing that they do. He changes diapers, makes bottles (all the time!), feeds them, plays with them, bathes them and tucks them in at night with a kiss. He's a special daddy and I know that he is one in a million and I also know how lucky I am to have him as a husband and in my life. Thank you Nathaniel! Also, to our dads, Pete and Roger.....You're both amazing men. Thanks for being just who you are and teaching us so much about life. You're truly special.

Opa!

This weekend was Greek Festival time in our church. Growing up, the festival was always something I looked forward to and I hope that one day Jack and Bella feel the same way. It's lots of eating and plenty of Greek dancing. Popi and Nana made a special trip to come to the babies first festival and it was a lot of fun. Bella really enjoyed the Greek music. Popi and Nana carried the twins up close to the stage so that they could see the dancing and that was very exciting for them. Jack isn't so sure that he is ready to sign up yet, but Bella is ready to go!
Along with the dancing we enjoyed a lot of good food. Nathaniel really enjoys a good gyro and some bakalava. He also really enjoyed the Greek dessert, galatobouriko. Needless to say it has been added to the menu for their baptism! Yum!
While we were there we managed to get a few pictures of all the excitement. Enjoy!

New Friends!

This weekend Nathaniel and I made a quick trip to visit my good friend from high school, Jamie and her little girl Jaidyn. Jaidyn is about 2 1/2 months older than the twins so they make for perfect playmates. They met once before, but the twins were very tiny and not able to play yet! It was also fun for Jamie and I during our pregnancies b/c we could compare stories and complain to a sympathetic ear. :) I have just attached some fun pictures that show how big the twins are getting. They are both sitting in big kid high chairs in Popi and Nana's restaurant! They really enjoy the high chairs and being able to watch everything going on. They also like to play a fun game called "I drop it and you pick it up." Jack and Popi played that game a lot! Ha! This weekend the twins are off to spend some quality time in Iowa with Grandma and Grandpa Norgren.

Jack and Bella in LIVE 2D!

Yesterday we were able to catch one of the funniest/funnest moments with Jack and Bella on video. You know how it goes when you want a picture or video of something. By the time you get the equipment to do the job the subject (in this case two babies) is busy doing something else or no longer there.

A little commentary on the video:
1. This is an age when laughing in someone's face is completely acceptable.
2. Around '1:12' or so, Jack starts to have, what we call in the industry, a "false alarm". Listen for the grunts and you'll know what I'm saying.
3. Be sure to notice the "sword fight" with the plastic rings at the end. They are just learning that striking something with an object makes a noise and is fun to watch/listen to, they've just never done this.

Enjoy! Stephanie thinks we should submit it to America's Funniest Home Videos. You can't help but laugh!

I finally sat down and figured out the camera!

Happy Mother's Day

What a special day! This was, obviously, my very first mother's day and it was fabulous. From the moment I was wakened by Bella crying and Nathaniel saying "I'll handle it. You sleep" to my wonderful family who called or sent me a text to share in my first special day to the wonderful dinner and my beautiful presents..... It all made me feel so special as a first time mom. We had a wonderful day! Here are a few pictures of the day. You might notice in one that Bella has decided that she can stand on her own, while holding on to something. She thinks it is very fun to stand on the outside of the exersaucer while big brother Jack is on the inside. Time to childproof! Enjoy the pictures. Before ending this exciting post I would just like to say that I hope that I can be half the mom to my children that my mom has been to me. She's beautiful, amazing, accepting and everything I strive to be. I love you mom! Thanks for being just who you are and supporting and loving me unconditionally!

Happy Mother's day to all the fabulous moms out there!

Rubber Duckie You're The One

It's bath time! Jack and Bella love bath time. They are sitting up and playing in the tub now, which they love. As soon as we get something to put on the bottom of the big tub to keep them from slipping, we will move them out of their baby tub. We don't want them sliding all over though so we have to be careful! Here are some pictures that Nathaniel and I took Sunday night during bath time. Bath time with this duo is definitely a two man job! Bella likes to roll all over while you are dressing her. She's also pushing herself up on all fours and rocking. Day care and Nathaniel and I are certain she will be crawling within a week! Oh my gosh! Jack pushes himself up but doesn't get up on his knees yet. He's got a lot more weight to lift. :) Enjoy the pictures. More soon!
Love~
