A quick fix....

We had family pictures taken this morning and we are so excited to see them. Our photographer has a giant picture of the kids in her studio area which she says we get when she's done with it. We're very excited! It's the famous back shot in black and white that actually made it on to her main page. When we got there today she said she was "over the moon" to see the babes again and that they were all over her site. We had no idea!!! Soooo..... we thought we would share with everyone the pictures from past sessions that made it onto the site. Our new pictures will be ready for preview on Monday. Paste the link below in your browser, wait for the page to load and then from Galleries click "Double the Delight" and there you will find lots of pictures of Jack and Bella and many other beautiful twins! Happy looking!

P.S. Yes, the second picture in the gallery is of Jack and Bella's little bottoms. HAHA!

A quick funny!!

We get daily emails, at work, from the twins school with tons of pictures attached showing us what they are doing during the day. It's almost like having a kiddie cam there! It's great and makes us smile amidst the chaos. Today we got some pictures of the kids playing outside in the beautiful weather we are having. It's funny to us because we have this slide at home and Jack cannot, for the life of him, figure out how to get on it. When he does succeed in getting on it he is ALWAYS facing backward. Bella had it figured out immediately. These pictures tell the story!

18 Month Check-Up Stats

Jack and Bella just came from their 18 month check up. We discussed where they are developmentally; how many words they can say, and any other little quirks we have going on. We're right on par with where we should be according to the doctor. Lots of words in our house which is very exciting. Jack's new favorite is "Oh man!" and "Elmo" although it sounds more like "Melmo" (which makes us think of our buddy Carson Weldy). Bella has formed her own secret language that she shares with all of us. We have no idea what she is saying but she sure does. She is a big fan of "all done" waving her hands in the air, "bye bye" and just simply "no." Karma anyone? We were bummed to hear that Bella has yet another ear infection. We're considering tubes at this point, but are going to wait and see since we are coming out of the 'sick' season and maybe she will grow out of it. It's such a common procedure but when it's your child they are putting under it becomes a whole new ball game. We've also been getting our daily emails from school with tons of pictures of activities done during the day. Lately we have seen painting projects (with some type of food. We think it's Cool Whip) and lots of coloring. Bella's new fascination is books. We read the same book 20 times a night. She will KEEP bringing it back to you, climb in your lap and fuss to you to read it over and over .....and over......AND OVER. Same book. Jack is a big builder and loves to stack things. He's very interested in the mechanics of things. He is always turning his toys over to see how they work. It's funny to watch! So here are the measurements. Hard to believe we won't be there again until we are 2!
Jack -
Weight 27lbs. 8oz. - 75th
Length 32.5 inches - 50th (the doctor thinks the nurse measured wrong and said "He's definitely taller than that" - I have no idea how she can tell!!)

Bella -
Weight 24lbs. 8oz. - 50th
Length 31 3/4 inches - 50th

Aloha!

Grandma and Grandpa Norgren came down for a visit today. They brought some presents with them that they got recently on a Hawaiian vacation. Both kiddos got some really fun t-shirts that change color in the sunlight, Harley Davidson t-shirts, some other fun t's and the great stuff you see in these pictures. They are too cute! It was very hard to get the kids to hold still for pictures with the excitement of visitors and the new clothes they were wearing! The Norgren household was out of control! Luau anyone?

Bella was very excited! I couldn't get her to stand still so you have to take what you can get!

Don't be fooled by the sweet face! He's up to no good!! :)

I told you so!

Silverware and Church

We had a big weekend this weekend...... ok, not so big but lots of fun stuff when you are one and a half. First we got some pictures of the twins eating with their silverware. They are doing really well and just need help actually getting the food on the utensil! (tiny detail:))So far Jack is taking after his Daddy and showing no interest in doing anything with his right hand. We'll see if that continues. These were taken on Friday night. Mommy didn't feel like cooking so we got meatloaf from Boston Market. This is a favorite of the twins.
Today we went to church after having not gone for a while. The holidays were very busy with Aunt Kaisha's wedding and Christmas and then Mommy was laid off from her job and without work for a couple weeks. Luckily she got right back at it and didn't even run out of severance! We are blessed. Today we got all dressed up and went to church. Before we left we took a few pictures of the kids in their outfits because we thought they looked so spiffy. After church we went to lunch with our good friends Chase and Maia and their Mommy and Daddy. What a fun day!
We also attached a picture we forgot to attach from Valentine's day. This is when Daddy gave Bella her very first flowers, sweetheart roses. :)

Happy Heart Day!

This is a long overdue post. We had a blast celebrating Valentine's day this year with Jack and Bella. Last year they were just too tiny, but this year we got to make Valentine boxes for a big party at school. We all got to exchange Valentine's and Jack and Bella loved it. The teachers had such a great idea to have everyone put a picture of everyone in the class on the outside of their Valentine's and then we put a picture of each child on their Valentine box and we played a fun matching game to learn while we played. Such a fun idea! We played, ate ice cream with special toppings and ate homemade cookies in our class with all of the other Mommy's and Daddy's. We also got beautiful artwork from the day that the kiddos painted themselves! Yay Jack and Bella! Saturday was fun too. we ate pasta and played. Nathaniel gave Bella her first flowers and it was so sweet. She was just fascinated with them. We hope everyone had a wonderful day with their loved ones!!!

Baby dolls, Tutus and Jack!

Ohhhh boy! Nathaniel and I took a trip to Las Vegas with my family last weekend. While we were there I bought a pink tutu for Bella. The back story on that is that they have several of these "play" tutus at school and she will carry it to the teachers and have them put it on her. From there she just goes on with her day and play....tutu pulled over her jeans. What can I say? She is her mother's daughter and shares my love of dance! I have already checked into dance schools in the area and she can start taking when she is 3. I seem to remember my first ballet classes around that same age. My first recital was to a song called "Blow me a kiss." I cried through the whole thing. Ask Nana. Enough about me! So we bought the tutu and brought it back and Bella loves it. Jack loves it too which is pretty funny when he puts it on. Daddy doesn't let that happen very often. :)Bella also has a new baby doll and stroller that she really enjoys playing with. She has learned to feed the baby and push the stroller around, although I think she would rather sit in it. She points to it and says "bebe" and that is just how it sounds. Very sweet. This brings us to Jack.... dear sweet Jack. Jack is a true boy in every sense aside from the tutu wearing. He really enjoys picking up the baby stroller and carrying it around. He also seems to enjoy taking it from his sister when she is having an ounce of fun with it. I believe he has also thrown it a couple of times as well. Oh yes, and let's not forget when he sits in it. Jack isn't exactly a tiny kid so the image of him in the tiny stroller is quite a sight. He is who he is and he's hysterical. We enjoy our time with both of them so much. Here are some fun and goofy pictures from the day after our return home.

Does this stroller make me look chubby?
