Silverware and Church

We had a big weekend this weekend...... ok, not so big but lots of fun stuff when you are one and a half. First we got some pictures of the twins eating with their silverware. They are doing really well and just need help actually getting the food on the utensil! (tiny detail:))So far Jack is taking after his Daddy and showing no interest in doing anything with his right hand. We'll see if that continues. These were taken on Friday night. Mommy didn't feel like cooking so we got meatloaf from Boston Market. This is a favorite of the twins.
Today we went to church after having not gone for a while. The holidays were very busy with Aunt Kaisha's wedding and Christmas and then Mommy was laid off from her job and without work for a couple weeks. Luckily she got right back at it and didn't even run out of severance! We are blessed. Today we got all dressed up and went to church. Before we left we took a few pictures of the kids in their outfits because we thought they looked so spiffy. After church we went to lunch with our good friends Chase and Maia and their Mommy and Daddy. What a fun day!
We also attached a picture we forgot to attach from Valentine's day. This is when Daddy gave Bella her very first flowers, sweetheart roses. :)

Happy Heart Day!

This is a long overdue post. We had a blast celebrating Valentine's day this year with Jack and Bella. Last year they were just too tiny, but this year we got to make Valentine boxes for a big party at school. We all got to exchange Valentine's and Jack and Bella loved it. The teachers had such a great idea to have everyone put a picture of everyone in the class on the outside of their Valentine's and then we put a picture of each child on their Valentine box and we played a fun matching game to learn while we played. Such a fun idea! We played, ate ice cream with special toppings and ate homemade cookies in our class with all of the other Mommy's and Daddy's. We also got beautiful artwork from the day that the kiddos painted themselves! Yay Jack and Bella! Saturday was fun too. we ate pasta and played. Nathaniel gave Bella her first flowers and it was so sweet. She was just fascinated with them. We hope everyone had a wonderful day with their loved ones!!!

Baby dolls, Tutus and Jack!

Ohhhh boy! Nathaniel and I took a trip to Las Vegas with my family last weekend. While we were there I bought a pink tutu for Bella. The back story on that is that they have several of these "play" tutus at school and she will carry it to the teachers and have them put it on her. From there she just goes on with her day and play....tutu pulled over her jeans. What can I say? She is her mother's daughter and shares my love of dance! I have already checked into dance schools in the area and she can start taking when she is 3. I seem to remember my first ballet classes around that same age. My first recital was to a song called "Blow me a kiss." I cried through the whole thing. Ask Nana. Enough about me! So we bought the tutu and brought it back and Bella loves it. Jack loves it too which is pretty funny when he puts it on. Daddy doesn't let that happen very often. :)Bella also has a new baby doll and stroller that she really enjoys playing with. She has learned to feed the baby and push the stroller around, although I think she would rather sit in it. She points to it and says "bebe" and that is just how it sounds. Very sweet. This brings us to Jack.... dear sweet Jack. Jack is a true boy in every sense aside from the tutu wearing. He really enjoys picking up the baby stroller and carrying it around. He also seems to enjoy taking it from his sister when she is having an ounce of fun with it. I believe he has also thrown it a couple of times as well. Oh yes, and let's not forget when he sits in it. Jack isn't exactly a tiny kid so the image of him in the tiny stroller is quite a sight. He is who he is and he's hysterical. We enjoy our time with both of them so much. Here are some fun and goofy pictures from the day after our return home.

Does this stroller make me look chubby?
